What beauty do you see in your immediate surroundings?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 01, 2009:

I see the beauty of an artists work in the original paintings on my walls, they change with the morning, afternoon and evening light and I never tire of them, they were not expensive bought before the artists were well known, their purchase helped the artist when times were hard   I see the warm glowing beautiful patina of solid cherry wood in the table my computer stands on, bought second hand at a boot sale for just 40 pounds, it comes with two smaller solid cherry wood tables that nestle underneath the large table, perfect when we have extra guests.
The beauty of plants some translucent against the light., in the big picture window,
The sleek beauty and sheen on my cats black coat, curled up on a cushion on the window seat.. The wabi sabi beauty of two old fire dogs and a copper kettle on the fireplace hearth, bought cheaply at a house sale by my mother when they lived in Jersey. The beauty of hand blown glass, and modern design in my candle containers. Through the window -
In the garden the beauty of old fashioned climbing roses, beyond that the picturesque village in the valley,  the beauty of lush deep green fields, woodland and trees. beyond that the more gently rolling hills and the sleek beauty of a few eco friendly wind turbines loving Gaia on the horizon. . The soft and subtle indefinite beauty of cloud formation in the sky.promising needed rain for the garden  Wow, feeling gratitude to be so blessed with an abundance of beauty, and aware that all these things were grown or crafted with love..

What makes you feel most free?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 05, 2009:

Choice - it's the difference between having to do something or choosing to do it willingly, even if what I do is a tie, I'm happy, because it was my own free choice. Time to be imaginative and creative, is a freedom dear to my heart.  Also I feel free in nature and though happy to visit a city, I would feel myself cut off and separate if I lived there, creation fashioned me as part of nature, why would I wish disconnect myself from being a part of it All.?

What was the happiest thing you saw this past week?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 07, 2009:

One of the dictionary definitions of thing is a separate and self contained entity, I sat for a while by the side  of our pond, the frog was there between the lily pads, a look of bliss on his face as he soaked up the sun, at the moment he is the only frog in the pond, but he was so still and content and peacefully happy with his own being. We do tend to associate happiness with life and interaction, but that sort can be wonderful, though often fleeting,it seems to me that  lasting happiness is more like the frogs, an inner contentment / happiness,/ peace,  within our own being, a gratitude for what Is  But to answer the question happy moments this week, sharing my birthday celebrations off and on line,, the cats at play,  the newt that I rescued from the cat, going back to it's life, our dogs woo wooo wooo in greeting after absence for a short while, a blackbirds full throated song. My partners pleasure in my appreciatn for all his thoughtfulness on my birthday, so many moments these are just a few. My joy when I noticed the local farmer had not tilled or sprayed his fields but planted beans to aid fertlity instead, working with nature, I will be interested to see how he progresses with more natural farming, no-dig is certainly paying dividends in my garden over time..

Are you energetically sensitive?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 08, 2009:

Oh yes, and not just in the here and now with other people, but I sense things at a distance, like telepathy or ESP, particularly distress signals. It is useful because it means I get to respond to those in need, I even sense distress with animals, at distance, its like an instant awareness   Also places, I once moved into a house and one room gave me the creeps, so much so that I put red wallpaper on the walls to try and warm and cheer the room, I later learned that the previous occupant had sadly committed suicide in that room. Another time on a sunny day in the country, where there was a boggy area surrounded by crack willows, I had an overwhelming feeling that a body lay in the boggy area,  a strong sense of crime / violence. No proof so I never reported it, , I thought no one would check out a hunch, a feeling, but it wa a strong feeling every time I was in that vicinity. There is no need to verbalise we have senses, feelings,a sixth sense; the other day I reflected to the check out girl I sensed she seemed down, she then confided she was due for surgery and worrying about it. After surgery she was soon back to her usual self.. Sometimes I have stood next to strangers and verbalised exactly what they were thinking, surprising them. It happens more when my mind is quiet / idling, i can't explain it,  i learned to trust these gut feelings through experience..

Where do your answers come from?

Posted on Sep 9th, 2009 by Zephyr : Poeticspirit Zephyr
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 09, 2009:

I don't have all the answers, and there are an infinite number of questions. Those that have a ring of truth for me personally? From higher self and from universal intelligence, which to me is Love. Everything else is consensus, and can be proved and disproved with new facts and statistics. There is truth: in Creation, in nature, in the oceans, in the stars and in the sun and moon and in the sod on our own life giving earth.

What helps you deepen into the present moment?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 10, 2009:

Sleep, a good nights sleep and I am fresh as a daisy, and alert and aware. We have just had quite a few disturbed nights with my mother awake clattering about in her room and talking loudly or singing to herself at about 1am and again at 4 am, she has little insight, and usually smiles sweetly and says what are you doing up at this late hour? She forgets that her noise might disturb others. I am very concious that I am functioning below par, it's more difficult to cope in the day when tired, I feel slow and sluggish, Mum seems well in herself but I have decided to contact her GP and see if she can help to ease the problem for us. Right now i am listening to my body and while Mum has a nap after lunch I will try to snatch an hours sleep myself
