What is your relationship to independence?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 04, 2009:
I see independence as a myth, we are interdependent and not just with each other, but with all other life, including this living planet. I like to think I stand on my own two feet, yet i offer and recieve support,and share with others and cherish and respect these connections, together, we are One. Happy July the 4th, celebrating our Oneness

I agree, we are interdependent and not just with each other, but with all otherlife, including this living planet. I think that is where are strength lies. I might add we are interdependent with God. ” No man is an island onto himself”.
Yes, Blewbird, we are not an island, and tere are many names for God.
