This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 29, 2009:
What I have not lost is a sense of balance, in one way everything that is in the past or behind me is lost; but there are two sides to the coin and within the loss comes new insights and learning - a growth extending my capacity for love compasssion and understanding that stays with me in each moment. As we lose so we also gain if we face the losses rather than run away from or avoid them. Tennyson's quote, Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all springs to mind, we can carry love in our heart from moment to moment, and it is inexhaustable..

Lovely, Gael…and agree that facing loss engenders compassion….and I think that if one carries love fully, one can let go..because love and attachment are different things in an adult…

Hi John, I agree, and it does make us more vulnerable, but I am reminded of Mother Theresa's quote
“I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.”
May the present be as beautiful and joy filled as always…
With love and peace..
Ange..
