1) Music - attend a concert
dig out those old favourites
join a choir
music's a direct line to your heart, emotions, and soul, it's relaxing
and stimulating
2) Grow a few tomatoes, cucumbers salad, greens, runner beans, strawberries blueberries, apples pears etc.
If times are hard save money by growing your own - if you use heritage
varieties you can save seed for next year, saving even more money. Working the soil is therapeutic, bacteria are in the soil, getting in touch with it helps stimulate your own natural immunity, the exercise is good for you,the sunshine and fresh fruit and veg boosts your vitamin intake and general health.
3) Dance or take up a sport that you enjoy, if you haven't indulged for a while
then gently does it at first, increase activity gradually.
4) Have a pot-luck supper
invite friends and neighbours round "Decide on a theme, like Indian or Thai,
get a group of people together, and everyone brings along a dish,
so you're responsible for one. So you might do the mains or someone brings
a starter, or a dessert. So in terms of the credit crunch, it's a good way of
holding a dinner party.
5) Spring clean and ruthlessly throw out all that you do not use, send it to charity
or to freecycle, it may be just what someone else can find a use for in hard times- better than letting it moulder in your cupboard
6) Hold a clothes swap party, turn out clothes you don't wear and swap with friends
7) Go green, save emissions and cut your utility bills at the same time, release
some cash for simple pleasures.
8) Pool rescources, car pool?
Lawn mower, hedge trimmer, trimmer, share tools with neighbours and get real
value out of it before the guarantee runs out. It may breakdown before the guarantee runs out and you will all be quids in then.
9) Kids outgrown their toys? Have a recycling party and redistribute, also organise a rota for sharing child care activities in the holidays
10) Spread the L o o o o ...ove
Cultivate positive emotion. In order to be happy, one needs to acknowledge the mental experiences one is experiencing but also to be able to cultivate mental states that are positive." Cultivate loving kindness, do a good turn wherever you can" focus on yourself and feel love for yourself. Imagine golden light flooding your body or repeat a phrase like "may I be well and happy" to yourself.
In the next stage, you try to transmit love to a good friend, then a "neutral"
acquaintance, then a person you dislike and then finally throughout your neighbourhood and the world. "Have a sense of waves of loving-kindness spreading from your heart to all beings everywhere.
Apologies this was spaced and numbered but Gaia won't co-operate

The exquisite gift of life, and the gifts showered on us each and every day by the universe and All that Is. The things we take for granted, the fertile earth, the sun and rain, the air we breathe, the ocean, the water we drink, the tiny promise in bulbs tubers and seeds that produce our food, the beauty of trees and flowers, all absolute magic!!!!!!!

I find the sacred in the dome of the night sky, the majesty of the ocean, in all of you, in me, in us, in the warmth of the sun, the flight of a bird, the purpose of a bee, the delicacy of a dragonfly, the patterns in each snowflake, the innocence of a childs eyes, the acceptance in old eyes, the beauty and perfume of a rose, the potential of a seed, the fertility of all - it is everywhere I look.

Moment by moment, I try to be mindful, I can't tackle a whole day or a week, just priorities moment by moment. After 9pm when my mother is comfortable, had her last medication and settled for the night, I feel grateful that she feels secure, loved and cared for , it makes the hard work worthwhile - then I can have time to relax but by then I am tired, and more in need of chillin' out and some me time, some time to write poetry, or splosh a few paints about , a little time on line., listen to some relaxing music. Before bed time, I step out onto the balcony stand under the night sky and reflect, mostly I feel gratitude for the beauty of the night sky, that my ducks and chickens are safely tucked up for the night away from predators on dry straw beds,.the cats are either curled up in the warm indoors or out on a hunting foray, i hear the distant bark of a fox, the calls of paired owls, the hum of an aircraft that I can't see. The moon was bright last night on a monochrome scene, lighting the heavy frost, the ground frozen solid to a depth of several inches, my thoughts turned to thoughts of planting for spring and the fertility of the well composted garden ready for production when the warmer days return. I was up early today and took time to watch the sunrise scorch the East horizon and kiss the tips of the trees bringing a little warmth to the frozen countryside, and appreciate the beauty and the silence, the birds were strangely quiet , but when I have time to reflect it feels like all is well - life just Is.

No I don't believe there is any real value in suffering, if we can do anything to prevent pain we should. I am talking about real pain, spirit at its best is designed to overcome and surmount suffering, and I spent best part of my life doing my best to alleviate pain and suffering for others in nursing, of course shit happens, but the human spirit at its best is designed to overcome and surmount such problems. If we love life it is preferable to work towards happiness and health. Then there is illusory suffering, imagined hurts etc attachments, we can beat ourselves up without any help from others, eventually hopefully we learn sense.
There is also pain and suffering inflicted by some less advanced souls on others, wars that cause suffering to the innocent, women and children abused, often by those who were themselves abused. So where is our armoury against suffering and pain - it's called love and compassion, it should be inclusive,to embrace both sides in a war zone, jaw jaw is better than war war, we can find win win situations. We need to embrace the abuser and the abused and stop the cycle.
We can help the performing bear who is suffering by helping the perpetrator find better employment and education. Let's think positively and relieve as much suffering as we can, and champion human rights, and encouraging assisting towards self help, growth and fulfillment

I wouldn't pick another religion at all, as the dogma attached always turns me off, i cannot swallow any one religion hook line and sinker, and I have looked at many different religions. I like my belief to agree with my inner logic / higher self / knowing, I prefer a direct line to the Creator / God / Oneness / Universal Love - many names for the same, for me religion is Love and my church is the whole universe. If I have any doubt I simply ask myself what would Love do? At the same time I am supportive of others for whom religion does work , each religion is still a part of the Whole.

Money, hmmmn,it's only worth is in what we can do with it. My money is limited because it is a pension, even so I find some for charity. How I spend wields a little power, I do buy ethically as far as possible, I spend my money locally where possible to support the local economy, and I consider the environmental impact of purchases too, eg buying electricity from the greenest company, buying organic where possible. I consider other ways of spreading value, in hard times if we are fortunate enough to have abundance of something we can share it. I guess over the years I have learned to stretch my my money further. I grow my own vegetables using heritage varieties, from which I can save seeds for next years planting. I take cuttings and propagate new plants to use or gift to others.
surplus fruit and veg goes into homemade icecream or jams or pickles to use in winter. I barter occasionally, and offer and get bargains on freecycle, boot fairs and charity shops.. I enjoy the money I earned, and enjoy spoiling grandchildren and family as I can afford it. .I feel wealthy in the things that really matter.

Walking a tightrope we can still be balanced, sometimes life feels like walking a tightrope. I look to my higher self and God to keep me balanced, not necessarily looking for ease, I like to be involved and contribute to life.

Holographic WoMan.
We float in a sea of frequency
entangled enmeshed, as a part of All
we channel our own unique fantasy.
Sensing unity, I percieve your call
extra sensory knows, to you I'm drawn
with love and compassion to fill a need
I'm so happy to be our creators pawn
growing to the light, a fertile seed
I'm a fractal of an intelligent One,
in the landscape of a think-map world
a holographic universe is such fun
eternity waves as infinity's unfurled.

First an identification with the pulse of all life, then a feeling of gratitude for life, that the sun is shining, and for many blessings, and at last I am getting some help caring for my mother which gives me a little more me time.

I ask myself a question or two Am I being rational? If so why did I put myself in danger?. Where did my love go? When we are feeling love fear can't enter.

We do, but a different body between reincarnations please, adapted and consciously, respectfully, grateful for whatever planet I inhabit, there is so much
in this wonderful universe to explore and treasure. Maybe an island / water world, instead if hair I would have well oiled feathers fin-wings so I could fly or swim and a highly developed brain with it's own navigation system and ESP that could intuit and communicate with friends both on and off planet., no heirarchy or money required on this fruitful planet, I an fruitarian. The culture shares a love of nature, spirit, and all the arts.

Usually intuition speaks to me when I am empty , allowing space, brain idling and receptive, then intuitive knowing pops into my brain. It is not something that I can do myself to order, I certainly don't take credit for it. It is more like being open to a greater knowing, a connection to something greater than myself, .a sensing, sometimes a message/ thought, sometimes a gut feeling, it works close up and at distance. At first I was sceptical, ignored or dismissed it, then I learned to take notice because very often it led me to a situation where I could help others, in dire situations the urge to follow my intuition is strongest, I just know, drop what i am doing and go. I sense thoughts, pain, or distress, usually with family, quite often when I was nursing with patients, once even with our family dog - I was in Hastings, driving home to Bexhill, and i thought the dog is in trouble in the sea, next thought was silly fool dogs can swim. When I arrived home, I found my husband and the dog dripping wet, the dog had jumped off a groin into deep water and panicked my husband had to wade in and fish the dog out !!!
INTUITION
Turn knowledge
on its head,
it happens,
flat earth
is now round.
Prelogical sensing
advances us.
Ideas, like
castles in the air,
are breached.
Braving the sceptics
our senses
propel us,
leaping wide chasms
to the future.
Gut feelings,
intuition,
and vision
may be
mans greatest gift.
I trust
implicitly
this organismic
sensing,
knowing...before logic.
