Questions & Reflections

In your view, what life stage is the human family in?

Posted on Jun 29th, 2008 by Zephyr : Poeticspirit Zephyr
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 29, 2008:

It is not possible for the "human family " to be in any stage. When we are One family we might begin to answer this question. A family pulls together and protects All it's members, some of our family are starving others being bullied and killed by their own. Is that a family ?
Globally we need some of our race to take on the role of loving parent, untill till we all learn to behave as one loving family

In some & sad way..yes, Gael, It is a family; Not the ideel harmonious, caring & balanced kind of family, but certainly a larger scaler picture of the dysfunctional family, which seems to be more the norm these days.. I too could easily wish for some loving parents to sort it all out for us; alas, I think it is time for each & everyone of us to take on reponsibility; It seems to me that we are past the stage where a few of us  will be able lift the oh so heavy load .. thx for this one.. love & joy tara

George, thank you, just what came to mind  when presented with the question

Tara, mmmmnnn yes, the human race is a dysfunctional family….
maybe a panel of (elected by each country,) peace prize winners to negotiate through the UN, might be a start as loving foster parents. You are right, individual responsibility the first essential. Hugs.

Great Blog Gael..

Perhaps our parent body somewhere out in the Universal spheres is trying to get us all through kindergarden first then we can all learn to be a brothers and sisters taking responsibility, sharing nice,
and carry on growing up….
However I do believe there are some pretty good families out there and they are trying their best to help…

Love and thanks my friend…

Thank fully Ange, yes,  there are some pretty enlightened families out there, but the question was about humanity in general, maybe a follow up specific  family question might be a good idea, and throw light on where humanity in general took a wrong turn

We need some powerful charismatic leaders - a whole bunch at one time, not one every 30-40 years.  Too much power lies with a handful or rogues who laugh at the Common Good.  Even though I feel like grist for the mill, I still can feel empowered knowing that I have a choice every moment to affect each person I come in contact with.

I love your hope and optimism.

Yes we all can take our own choice / responsibilities seriously, maybe charismatic and inspirational leaders is what we need - as you said power worries me these days it is so often misused.

We need leaders with wIsdom before charisma.
And of course we each need to do our part.  I say do what you can , where you are,  right now.

I was thinking that the human family and my family of origin have a lot in common in their dysfunctionality. Which makes sense in a lot of ways. Anyway, I still say that the whole growing up thing is overrated. I am still a kid trapped inside this middle aged body…
