This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 18, 2008:
I am cultivating a cleaner planet and lowering my emissions, cultivating my muscles by sweeping not hoovering, and mixing and kneading by hand not power. Cultivating fruit and vegetables and flowers for the bees in the garden which cuts down airmiles and transport emissions, a 40% reduction apparently, learning to love fresh fruit and veg in season, instead of exotic and stale. extending the season by using the greenhouse. My cape gooseberries are fruiting from autumn seedlings overwintered in the greenhouse, salad stuff, tomatoes and cucumbers are coming on a treat, The pear blossom got caught by the late snow so no pears this year, but the apples strawberries and cherries are laden and the canefruit too. Also planting trees in India
